Can pictures lie?

Do we just want to believe what we see in a rush? Or is the real attraction to expose the illusion in order to recognize reality? What we see does not always agree with what it is. Paradoxically, in the end, however, is the realization that this is exactly the reality.

The title "Malerei 2009" by Joachim Grommek flirts with his superficially irrelevant arbitrariness and is ultimately extremely programmatic in the end.
