Frank Ahlgrimm: Different Stories

The staging of form in paintings as well as the citation and "sampling" of different styles have been shaping the artistic work of Frank Ahlgrimm for years. However, art history is never repeated. Rather, Ahlgrimm constantly adds something new and exciting. 

The exhibition in Langenargen shows works of his current series Cut and a few of his older works. Hence, the title of the exhibtion "different stories" can also be seen programmatical referring to the complexity and changeability  of Ahlgrimm's artistic production.
